Dave Cooke Scholarship Fund

DavidCookeKokolulu Farm and Cancer Retreats Center is pleased to announce The Dave Cooke Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund has been established to honor the life and memory of Dave Cooke (1947-1992), father, husband, brother, human rights activist and cancer warrior. Dave possessed great strength and energy, dealing with his diagnosis of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer, on chemotherapy for twelve years. He always took an active role in his health and the health of others, exploring many avenues of healing and wellness. Dave always put the needs of others before his own and would take the extra mile to help another.  In April 1992, Dave’s journey ended peacefully.  In the spirit of compassion and gratitude, his widow Karin, along with Lew Whitney of Kokolulu Farm and Cancer retreats, Inc. established the Dave Cooke Memorial Scholarship Fund.

100% of the donated funds go to support those affected with cancer by providing them with a scholarship, depending on their financial means.

These scholarships are awarded to those diagnosed with cancer to attend a cancer retreat that helps individuals learn healing modalities that are a holistic blend of ancient and modern Western, Eastern and alternative healing therapies shown to help one develop a mindset to empower and take control of their life and their healing journey.

We wish to extend our gratitude to all contributors for their generosity for all the benefits so many have and will continue to receive.
