In October of this year, Lew traveled to the Hexianju QiGong Centre on Hainan Island China to attend the World Zhineng Qigong Healing and Training Conference. There were over 80 participants from 12 different countries in attendance. Included in the group were 17 teachers/practitioners who were part of the medicine less hospital in China. Lew spent 3 weeks at the centre doing self cultivation qigong, learning new exercises to help Kokolulu’s future guests, and studying with Masters Xu, Ning, Ping, Jianshe and others. As Lew describes it “A life changing experience”. Lew spent many hours with Master Ning,Jian Xiong Xiong, who was one of the leaders/teachers in the healing unit at the Medicine Less Hospital. Master Ning now works with students (a term used by the founder of Zhineng Qigong and the Medicine Less Hospital, Dr. Pang Ming) who are terminal cancer patients. Master Ning has had tremendous success with his students and is well know throughout China.
